Me and my 2 Wheeled Trusty Steed (and other stuff)

Marathon Training

This mornings run went something like this-
10 and a bit miles – bugger is that all I’ve done.
12 miles – that’s a wee bit better
15 miles – I can do this – hopefully I’ll make it to 18
18 and a bit miles – I’m gubbed – hopefully it will be at 20 when I make it to the front door
19.2 miles – there’s the front door – another 0.8 will take me to 20 – round the block again
19.5 miles – strava must have stopped – it’s been at 19.5 for ages
19.7 miles – back at the front door – rain has started – that’s enough – where’s the Easter Egg my mate bought me.

Well done Lucy…your training is definitely at the advanced stage if you are now doing 20 miles..In fact if your Strava is gubbed maybe it was 21.26..Hope you enjoy the egg…Happy Easter 🙂

My training is ok.It is a bit sporadic though.I’m trying to juggle cycling and running.I really need to get some more 15-20 mile runs in soon though.Only 5 weeks to Stirling one.I got the race pack yesterday. When I do a marathon I usually go a bit loopy at the 20 mile point. Not a good time to be concentrating on counting those final laps Lol..I’m looking forward to the Etape.I done the Evans Callander event last week.I found it really, really tough.Hopefully that was due to the hilly route as opposed to my fitness..Your training looks like it is going well.Keep up the good work..:)
